We can all feel it. Things just keep getting a little worse. Cause Amp is an attempt to stop the slide before the world gets any darker.
Cause Amp is a browser extension that makes it much, much easier to speak up on behalf of the truth and support causes that make the world a better place.
The Problem
Bad actors and bot networks are filling the internet with disinformation and divisive content.
Most people just consume social media — they don't have the time (or the inclination) to post and respond to strangers on the internet. That leaves our information space filled with the ideas of the most extreme kind of people (plus all those bots).
At the same time, traditional journalism is under-resourced and fighting an uphill battle.
That's not a good combination.
No individual person can set the record straight alone. The economics favor mis and disinformation, and the incentive structures of social media are broken.
The Solution
The decline isn't inevitable. There are far more sane, rational people in the world than there are psychopathic authoritarians.
Cause Amp is a browser extension that makes it easy to speak up for good causes and make the world a better place — while recognizing the reality that most people don't have all day to spend sitting around debunking conspiracy theories on the internet.
